Missions Conference 2011 – Invest, Invest, Invest

On March 6-13, we will be having our missions conference here at IBB. This is an exciting time for our Church. We plan on having a Spanish service on Wednesday, an English service on Thursday and a bilingual banquet on Friday.

Every night will be totally different so make plans to attend each night. Maintaining a global perspective impacts our faith by challenging our heart. God loves the world and we are part of His plan to reach the world through our ministry.

Conferencia Misionera 2011 – Invertir, Invertir, Invertir

Del 6-13 de marzo tendremos nuestra conferencia misionera aquí en IBB. Este es un tiempo emocionante para nuestra Iglesia. Vamos a tener un culto en Español el miércoles, un culto en Inglés el jueves y un banquete bilingüe el viernes de esa semana.

Cada noche es una noche diferente. Hagan planes ahora para participar con nosotros.
Manteniendo una perspectiva global impacta nuestra fe desafiando nuestro corazón. Dios ama al mundo y nosotros somos parte de Su plan para alcanzar al mundo por medio de nuestro ministerio.

FRIEND DAY – Invite, Invite, Invite

On Sunday, February 13, we will have Friend Day here at IBB Church. Make a list of those friends who don’t know Christ as their Savior and begin to pray for them.

Plan to give them a personal invitation and follow up regarding their participation. Remember, we have a special gift for the adult and the young person who bring the most guests for each service.

We still have invitations available for you if more are needed. Remember… Invite, Invite, Invite!

DÍA DEL AMIGO – Invitar, Invitar Invitar

El domingo, 13 de Febrero, tendremos el Día del Amigo aquí en IBB. Hagan una lista de aquellos amigos, familiares y compañeros de trabajo/escuela que no conocen a Jesús como su Salvador personal y empiece a orar por ellos.

Haga planes para entregarles una invitación personal y hábleles en cuanto a su participación. Recuerden, tenemos un regalo especial para cada joven y adulto que traiga más visitas durante el servicio.

Tenemos invitaciones aquí en la iglesia si necesitan más. Recuerden… ¡Inviten, Inviten, Inviten!

Connect, Invest, and Invite

THE FIRST 10 MINUTES before every service begins and THE FIRST 10 MINUTES after every service ends should be a time for us to proactively connect with our guests.

We should strive to connect our guests with at least three others from our ministry, including the pastors and those who lead our small groups. We need to take advantage of every opportunity and realize that God is the One who brought them to our church.

Once we connect we can begin to invest. You might be thinking, “What do you mean by this?” For starters, we can invest our time in getting to know our guest on a personal level. Ask them their name, how long they’ve been attending IBB and something to pray about in their lives.

The great majority of our guests arrive early, find a place to sit and make very little noise. They don’t want attention from the pulpit, but they do want others to recognize them in a natural and loving way. Authenticity is what many of them are looking for. They know when we’re authentic and they know when we’re not.
THE FIRST 10 MINUTES before every service begins and THE FIRST 10 MINUTES after every service ends should be a time for us to proactively connect with our guests.

Throughout this entire process we want to invite them to attend a small group, BIG Events and other key ministry activities. Invite them to join you and your family for coffee or even lunch (on Friend Day).
At least 66% of those who attended our Christmas Production were the direct result of a personal invitation.

Conectar, Invertir e Invitar

Los PRIMEROS 10 MINUTOS antes de que empiece cada servicio y los PRIMEROS 10 MINUTOS después de que termine el culto, debemos usar el tiempo para conectarnos con nuestros invitados.
Debemos esforzarnos en que nuestros invitados se conecten con por lo menos tres personas de nuestro ministerio incluyendo a los pastores y los líderes de grupos. Debemos darnos cuenta que Dios es el que los ha traído a nuestra iglesia y debemos aprovechar esa oportunidad.

Una vez que nos conectamos, empezamos a invertirnos en las personas. A lo mejor está pensando, “¿Que significa invertir en las personas?”  Para empezar, significa que invertimos tiempo conociendo a cada visita a un nivel personal. Pregúnteles su nombre, hace cuánto tiempo que asisten a IBB y algo en su vida que podamos orar con ellos.

La gran mayoría de nuestras visitas llegan temprano, encuentran un lugar para sentarse y no hacen mucha bulla. Ellos no quieren la atención del pulpito, pero sí quieren ser reconocidos por otros en una manera natural y amorosa.  Ellos están buscando algo auténtico. Ellos saben cuando lo somos, y cuando no lo somos también.

Los PRIMEROS 10 MINUTOS antes que cada servicio empieza y los PRIMEROS 10 MINUTOS después que termina el servicio deben servir como tiempos para conectarnos a propósito con nuestros invitados.
Durante todo este proceso queremos invitar a nuestras visitas a asistir a un grupo pequeño, los eventos GRANDES, y otras actividades claves del ministerio.

Invíteles a unirse a su familia para tomar un café o salir juntos para almorzar (el Día del Amigo). Por lo menos 66% de las visitas que llegaron durante nuestra producción navideña llegaron por una invitación personal.  Por favor compartan esto con su familia y prepárense para conectar, invertir e invitar este domingo.
